Child Protection

All our instructors are trained and registered with the Shukokai Karate Union (SKU). 

SKU instructors must have a thorough knowledge of not only teaching Karate techniques but have training in emergency first aid procedures and are CRB vetted.

SKU Child protection policy statement:

'Karate as a sport has a duty of care to safeguard all children involved from harm.  All children have the right to protection; the needs of the disabled and others must be taken into account.

The SKU will take every step to ensure the safety and protection of all children involved with the association through adherence to the child protection policy.  The policy will be implemented by all our members and is applicable to all officers, club instructors, officials, staff and voluntary workers'
